Methods for reducing mechanical wear on generators
1. The number of brushes to be replaced each time should not be too much. At the same time, only 1 to 2 brushes are allowed to be replaced on each brush holder to prevent additional friction resistance.
2. When replacing a new brush, the generator brush should be ground well on the same model as the collector ring in advance, so that it can contact with the collector ring properly.
3. Brush, brush hold gap should meet the requirements of the product, no provisions, the gap can be 0.1 to 0.2 mm, the shape of the brush should be square, the upper and lower end size error should not be greater than 0.05 mm, otherwise can not be used.
Under normal circumstances, the clearance between the brush grip and the collector ring surface is 2 to 3 mm. When adjusting, a layer of 2 to 3 mm thick rubber pad can be attached to the collector ring surface, the brush grip is pressed to the rubber pad, and then the positioning screw is tightened, and the rubber gasket can be removed.
4.
